The Truth About Room in the Roof Insulation - Part 3
(Continuation from previous post), if you haven't read part one, do check it out.
We caught up with Laura a month after the insulation to see how she was getting on and to see if she has felt/saw any changes which came with the insulation.
“My energy costs have dropped significantly as we haven’t had to put the heating on so much. There was a bit of a draft in the room in the roof from the hatch, this has disappeared after the insulation.
The room is so much more barrable to live in and I can’t wait to turn it into another bedroom so I can have my friends and family to stay over when they come to visit.”
In the end, Laura did not need to contribute anything to the cost of the insulation and the overall room in the roof insulation was completed within two weeks of initial contact with us.
We later recommended some electric storage heaters which we installed meaning that Laura was prepared for the upcoming winter. Laura was also entitled to full funding for insulation for these due to the benefits she was receiving as well as owning her own home.
As an additional service, Laura asked us if we could decorate her room in the roof and so we give it a lick of paint and finished the job for her. All she needed to do was to lay her flooring and pop her furniture into the room.
